This new Intermediate MATHEMATICS 8 Assessment
Examination Review Workbook, Volume 2, is designed to prepare
Students for the “new” New York State Intermediate Mathematics
Assessment Examination for grade 8. It takes into account the
New York Learning Standards for Mathematics Approved by the
NYS Board of Regents January 11, 2005; Revised March 2005;
Effective September 2005

content and process Strands outlined by the New York State
Education Department have been thoroughly addressed. The
authors have made a concentrated effort to include the topics
for grades 5 to 8 that the state prescribed as necessary in
preparation for the “new” New York State Intermediate Mathematics
Assessment Examination for grade 8.
